Youth-focused esports and gaming platform in Azerbaijan delivered with MVP Agency as event and production partner. Case study covering esports tournaments, festival formats, event management and experiential gaming execution.
PROJECT CONTEXT
CAVAN Esports was created as part of the broader Cavan Sport programme to make competitive gaming and esports accessible, organised, and socially relevant for young people in Azerbaijan. The initiative responds to the growing interest in esports by transforming casual gaming into a structured competition and festival format.
FORMAT & ACTIVITIES
The project combines two core directions.
Kiber Cavan Tournaments — regular esports competitions in popular titles such as FIFA 23 and Mortal Kombat 11, attracting over 100 participants per tournament wave and identifying emerging local talents.
Gaming & Cosplay Festivals — large-scale public events bringing together esports finals, cosplay shows, VR zones, board games, and free-play areas in venues such as Baku Convention Center.
MVP AGENCY ROLE
MVP Agency supported CAVAN Esports as an event and production partner, focusing on event structuring, technical and operational coordination, venue adaptation for mixed-format gaming events, stage and tournament flow planning, coordination with game zones and activity partners, and photo and video production to support communication and platform visibility.
RESULT
CAVAN Esports evolved into a repeatable youth-focused esports platform, combining competition, entertainment, and community engagement, while offering brands a credible entry point into Azerbaijan’s gaming ecosystem.
